Music &Fine Arts Series

Enjoy “The Season” as the Music Fine Arts Series of First United Methodist Church presents professional concerts throughout the year set admidst the beauty of the First Church sanctuary.  Examples of previous concerts include Dick Hyman; Lillette Jenkins-Wisner; virtuoso organist, Marilyn Keiser; the St. Louis Brass Quintet, and many others.
Every Christmas the First Church Singers present their Annual Christmas Concert and Community Carol Sing, a much looked forward to tradition in Sarasota.  They have also presented spring concerts to include everything from Robert Ray’s Gospel Mass to Mozart’s famous Requiem.

Jazz in the Chapel

The series features local jazz artists and hosts two
performances (5 and 6:30 pm) on the first Sunday of the month - November through April.

Adult & Youth Choirs

The Adult Sanctuary Choir sings every Sunday at the 11:00 A.M. worship service. Rehearsals run from September through May. Fall rehearsals begin the first Thursday after Labor Day at 7:00 P.M. If you would be interested in singing in the choir, contact the Director of Music, Elizabeth Goldstein.
