Jazz Trio: Matt Bokulic, piano; Dominic Mancini, bass; Johnny Moore, drums
Joining this ever-popular Jazz Trio for this special event will be Dick Hamilton, trombone; Jim Martin, trumpet; and Tony Swain, saxophone/clarinet. These six professional musicians, actively engaged in our area’s jazz scene, will open our 2018-19 Jazz at First Church Series.

Always a favorite, David Lee Jones on trumpet has been in the professional music field for over 30 years. Davy is based out of Orlando, having performed and arranged for Walt Disney World. Currently, he is performing solo and with others, at many Florida venues.

Guest Artist: Natalie Wendel
We welcome the return of British musician Natalie Wendel whose first performance with our Jazz Trio was enthusiastically received! Natalie plays tenor saxophone in the style of hard-bop jazz with a hint of other flavors that she has picked up from her travels and residencies. She came to us last year from the Cayman Islands and now lives in our local area, joining our active jazz scene.

Guest Artist: Pete BarenBregge
New to our Jazz at First Church series is Pete BarenBregge, a professional saxophonist/flutist/clarinetist, has performed for millions, including presidents and royalty, and in well-known opera halls, jazz clubs, and international jazz festivals. Pete has edited, produced, recorded, and collaborated with top names such as Bennett and Gillespie. He is now a freelance musician in our Sarasota-Venice area.

Guest Artist: Steve Martinucci
Steve Martinucci on guitar has been part of our First Church Jazz Series for several years. His impressive background includes performing in the New York music scene for over 20 years. Steve has both studied and played with the jazz “greats,” especially those of Latin music legend. He is versed in all music settings, from solo to big bands and pit orchestras.

Guest Artist: Dave Morgan
We welcome back Dave Morgan on vibraphone, a performing musician since the age of 13! He plays many styles of music: Dixieland, Rock, Folk, Reggae, and Classical. He’s performed in radio, television, resorts and festivals with Bob Hope, Phil Harris, Tommy Dorsey, Guy Lombardo, and many others. This talented musician is also a drummer and vocalist!
